The daily color game
Shade is a daily color-matching game. Every day you get the same five target colors as everyone else. Your job: reproduce each one using three sliders, by eye.

| Saturation | How vivid vs grey (0–100%) | 0% = grey, 100% = pure, electric |
| Lightness | How pale vs deep (0–100%) | 0% = black, 50% = full color, 100% = white |
Each lock-in is scored by ΔE — perceptual color distance in the CIELAB space, which models how different two colors look to a human, not just how far apart their numbers are. Five rounds give you a total out of 500 and an emoji grid: 🟩 spot on, 🟨 close, 🟧 in the area, ⬛ missed.
Finish the daily puzzle to extend your streak. Miss a day and it resets. Practising a past puzzle (via the archive links) doesn't affect your streak — only today's puzzle does.
